History

In 1881 the "Hennefer Maschinenfabrik C. Reuther und Reisert" was established in Hennef, Germany and invented the first automatic weigher thus setting the standards for the future to come in automatic weighing.


About 100 years after the company's formation, in the year 1982 the "Chronos-Werk Reuther & Reisert" became Chronos Richardson.


2002 Chronos Richardson was acquired by Premier Tech, a Canadian privately owned corporation with more than 85 years tradition. Premier Tech has been building its know-how and reputation in seven business units gathered in three groups – Horticulture and Agriculture, Industrial Equipment and Environmental Technologies - having the mission to become technological and commercial leaders in their respective fields of expertise. Supported by a multidisciplinary team of nearly 1 600 team members based in America, Europe and Asia, Premier Tech is building on the development of its personnel, on innovation, research and development, and on the introduction of value-added products. BTH - Bag Treatment Holland

2009 Premier Tech is acquiring BTH BV, an innovative market leader in the packaging industry located in the Netherlands and will merge it with Chronos Richardson creating a team of specialists and experts with profound industry know-how. The combination of Chronos Richardson and BTH will, from now on, operate under the name CHRONOS BTH both in Europe as well as in Asia. The strong and uniform CHRONOS BTH image shall underline its innovative and dynamic orientation and significantly contribute to its increase presence on the market.


CHRONOS BTH

The product portfolio will be one of the most exhaustive in the industry with innovative systems in the areas of bag packaging and palletising solutions as well as load security. The new entity will continue to operate from sites in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, England, France and Thailand.

The new company, Chronos BTH, will offer some of the most advanced and innovative equipment and systems available in Europe and Asia.
