Form, Fill & Seal Systems

Our new generation of FFS-H series provides a universal, flexible and economical packaging system for tubular form, fill and seal applications at all throughput requirements up to 2,200 bags per hour, depending on the handling characteristics of the bulk material being packed. The system is suitable for both free flowing and difficult to handle bulk materials. A key feature of our FFS product range is its compact, sturdy design that can be supplied in 3 versions FFS-H, FFS-HS and the high-speed version FFS-HSS.

CHRONOS BTH's VFFS series is a range of vertical packaging machines for a wide range of bag sizes, with the equipment designed for flexibility and ease of use.

With a low investment the VFFS series achieves low to medium production rates of up to 1000 bags per hour depending on the product technical features and flow characteristics.

The machine is also suitable for handling difficult products, with optional special executions in stainless steel to handle very aggressive products.

The working cycle has been developed for feeding of the product in a smooth and consistent rate whilst the bag is descending. This is essential when feeding critical products into the bag to avoid having smoke and dust disturbance that could create sealing and handling problems.

With a pre-closing system we are able to protect the sealing area from the presence and contamination by dust.

Using a flat sheet, many types of plastic film can be used, starting from simple PE to Laminated films with PS, and PE/ALU/PE combinations for quality of the printing or for hygroscopic reasons.

For special applications, in order to protect the product from environmental contamination, the machine can also be supplied to produce bags without holes, where the de-aeration of the bag is carried out before the bag top sealing.

An Atex version of the machine is available for installation in classified areas.

Vertical flat film machines achieve the highest possible output volumes. With the application of the innovative movable sealbeams, the filling machine seals one bag while filling the next one at the same time. This results in an enormous increase in the machine’s capacity. Flat foil machines are fitted with devices to safeguard their reliability, even at high speeds.

For example, a motor driven roller in the foil strip reduces foil friction, and a dancing roller guarantees a uniform foil tension. The sealing temperature is adjustable, as well as the forced air cooling. Devices for dot detection or length measuring ensure that the machine is suitable for packaging in printed and unprinted foil.

Applications

The VFFS machines can be fitted with different dosing systems to handle all types of products from different industrial segments as Food, Feed, Agriculture, Chemicals or Minerals Industry. The capacity reaches up to 1800 bags/hour and can be modified with options to create the required packaging. The used film material is PE-flat film.
