Chronos Richardson [CR] recently moved to a modern industrial complex in Nottingham with improved facilities for providing sales, manufacturing, customer services, spare parts and equipment upgrades. This has helped optimise our service response times and improve our manufacturing efficiency.

Since the move we have maintained our ISO9001 quality processes and a strong focus on supporting customer equipment sales, service and spareparts requirements. The vast experience of our staff ensures we remain the perfect partners to assist you by providing the best Packaging Solutions as well as original CR spare parts and customised service support across the UK and Ireland.

Chronos Richardson UK Limited incorporates Richard Simon Limited, Verville and Premier Tech Systems for European spares, refurbishments, service, installation and commissioning and details can be found at www.servicechronos.com

In 2002 Richard Simon Limited [RSL] became part of the Premier Tech Group of companies and RSL engineers and personnel were integrated into CR. Since early 2003 genuine spare parts matched to the original RSL design authority documentation and drawings have been supplied from Nottingham by CR. That experience and expertise is still available today for service and aftermarket support for the RSL product range including:

  • Richard Simon UBM Weighers
  • Richard Simon Bag Placers
  • Richard Simon Computapak Controllers
  • Richard Simon Containerpak Containerised Bagging Systems
  • Richard Simon Weigh-belt and Constant Rate Feeders

Users of Premier Tech compression balers, bagging/packaging/palletising systems, and screeners; and Verville compression baling systems can get more reliability from their equipment by maintaining it and servicing it regularly.

By getting end-users to recognise the importance of plant up-time and equipment availability to their production plants, helps them maintain reliable quality production; thereby keeping them competitive and improving their profitability. The importance of regular maintenance scheduling and appropriate spare parts holdings show how you can plan servicing work for times that are convenient to your production needs, not just when it stops working.

Plan Upgrades & Retrofits
In the current economic climate new capital equipment spend is sometimes difficult to justify; but you know that your plant needs upgrading and that you need to make the most of your existing processing and packaging equipment.

Affordable improvements through our Retrofit & Refurbish programmes can be cheaper than new equipment. Our refurbishment programmes allow your plant to benefit from renewal and improvements whatever the equipment supply. This has been applied to: Upgrades allowing old equipment to meet today‘s operating standards Cost-effective adaptations for your changing production requirements Allowing old equipment to regain its functionality.

Familiar Equipment – new challenges
In recent years two European Directives - the Explosive Atmospheres Directives [ATEX] have been enacted, which may have an implication on the continued operation of in-process weighers and other bagging weighers. We have now introduced ATEX compliant weighers into both our APW inprocess and high-speed bagging weigher ranges.

Many customers have continued to request simple manual bagging systems so to cope with these demands we have reintroduced the H17E bagging weigher to our product portfolio, which now uses the latest SpeedAC NXT weighing controller.
